This was a trip through the high mountains (on what passes as roads above endless gorges) and beautiful valleys of Tajikistan. Spectacular trip at some high elevations (up to 4655 m) with every changing mountain backdrops. Interesting side activities. Our trip is remembered with great pleasure only because our driver/guide, Mendibay, arranged everything for us and kept us feeling secure and safe in extremely challenging road conditions. I cannot imagine doing this trip without Mendibay.

A memorable, spectacular partial camping trip over varied regions of Kyrgyzstan with many activities. This is not a trip for the faint of heart who want comfort: endless rough gravel roads/trails; some stays in yurts in colder weather with outside toilets; travel over mountains on single track gravel etc. Endless awe inspiring scenery. Extremely interesting trip remembered with pleasure because we had an excellent driver/guide with Umar Zholdoshovw . You would not want to do this trip without implicit trust in your driver's competencies behind the wheel and we lucked out with Umar.

Excellent trek! My husband and I loved our time in the mountains with Visit Alay. The guides were great and everything was well organised. Definitely worth while. I was unwell for part of the week and the guides were caring and ensured I was looked after / gave me options.
