The organization of the trip, the communication and the driver were all perfect on the Pamir Highway. The scenery is fantastic, accommodations were sometimes basic, but always friendly. My only regret was I found the 4 people too tight for the car, especially that we had a plus size lady in our group. When I had to sit with her on the back seat, I felt squeezed. It was way too much body contact for 5-8 hours a day. The heavy-set girl often nodded off, slumping over like a sack of potatoes and squishing me against the door. So it is really a question of luck who you end up traveling with, unless you book the whole car for your own group. Retrospectively, I would rather pay a higher price, but have only 3 passengers in the car (i.e. 600-650 USD, and the total sum for the car would be the same).

I had an amazing time and really enjoyed the central and eastern parts of the country and my trip. Nurash was an excellent diver and we easily communicated throughout the trip. I hope to return in the future to see more of central Asia and look forward to engaging with Visit Alay! Thanks!

I did the 9 day Dushanbe-Osh trip (a last minute change from the 7 day trip) and it was incredible. The landscapes, the people, and the experiences were all 10/10. The whole trip was well organized. When we had to change itinerary slightly due to a landslide, we got to do an additional hike instead and it was great. Our guide Nurbek was fantastic, taking us to the best photo spots and activities (even if not on the itinerary), and always with a good sense of humour. I would highly recommend this tour!
