Drive from Osh city to Uzgurush village in Batken region. Nice drive in the south of Fergana Valley with numerous villages on the way. Arrive and accommodation in a local homestay.

Trek starts through local houses with gardens full of apples and apricot trees. The nice walk continues by wild pistachio trees and walnut orchards beyond the village. We cross the river and begin ascending the Buldzhuma Pass (2894m). The trail goes slowly up to the pass, 3 hours. On top of the pass, the wonderful view of the nearest gorges, the western face of the Piramidalnyi peak, and the gorgeous Ak-Tash Valley opens up. Descend the pass towards the campsite ( 2900m ).

We cross two passes this day. We hike along the Ak-Tash River on a steep and scree-covered trail up to Dzhalgychy Pass (3774m), 3 hours. It is possible to see local shepherds on the way herding their cows and sheep. On the top of the pass, a panoramic view of rugged Turkestan Mountains opens up: the western face of Piramidalnyi Peak (5509m) and Turo Pass (4525m). Descend along a trail down to a gorge for lunch, 2 hours. After lunch, we head on to another nameless pass, 2 hours. Enjoy the scenic view of Orto Chashma Valley and Turo Pass (4525m) on top of the pass. Descend the pass along the stream until you reach the confluence of two rivers. Cross the bridge and turn right to get to the campsite (2800m) surrounded by juniper trees in this beautiful Orto Chashma gorge.

We cross two passes on this day. We head on our first Koshmoinok Pass on a winding trail, 3-4 hours. The trail goes through juniper forest passing by a cool spring and finishes at the foot of Kara Suu Pass (3760 m). We hike up to the Kara Suu Pass on a more steep trail, 1 hour. Enjoy the snowcapped rocky peaks of the Turkestan Mountains including the north-western faces of the peaks Kotin (4521 m) and Kreshenie Rusi (4507 m). Descend the pass and cross the Kara Suu River to arrive at a campsite in this vast Karavshin Valley.]

We hike up to the foot of Piramidalnyi Peak (5509m), the highest peak in the Turkestan Range. The trail goes under the towering peaks of Kyrkchilta (4507m), Asan (4230m), Usen (4378m), and Odessa Peak (4810m). Remember to keep looking behind you to enjoy the views. The views open up as you walk. We cross the glacier to reach the foothills of Piramidalnyi Peak. Enjoy the view and then return to your campsite on the same road.

We hike back over the Kara Suu and Kosh Moinok passes to our campsite in Orto Chashma Valley where we slept on our third day. Arrival at our camp and nice rest in this lush valley with the towering peaks in a far southern end of the valley.

We hike along the Orto Chashma River through a forest of silver birch until the bridge at the confluence with Ak-Tubek Gorge. We cross the bridge and turn right towards the foot of Ak Tubek Pass. Trails gently go through the juniper forest before the shepherd’s house. The trails disappear in the slope of the mountains. We head to the foot the pass where we set our camps. Enjoy the vast view of Orto Chashma Valley from your campsite.

Today we cross over the highest pass Ak Tubek Pass (4390m) and descend down to Ak Suu Valley for our camping. The trail starts uphill directly from the camp towards the pass, 2 hours. While walking, turn behind to admire the panoramic views of Orto Chashma Valley. We reach the Ak Tubek Pass and be rewarded with the stunning views lush valleys, rocky and glaciated peaks all around. Long descent to Ak-Suu Valley along the scree slopes. The trail is sometimes steep but not technically difficult. While descending, we enjoy facing the views of Iskander (5120 m), Petrogradez (5165 m), Admiralteez (5090 m), Ak-Suu (5355 m), A.Block (5229 m), and Aktubek (5125 m) Peaks. We arrive in Ak Suu Valley and hike down along the river to set up our camp in this green valley of the Ak Suu River.

The highlight of the tour comes today. We trek up to the foot of Ak Suu Peak (5355m). We start hiking along the river from our camp all the way to the steep moraine and then to the glaciers. We are now in the heart of the Pamir – Alay Mountains with the pyramid-shape and snowcapped Ak-Suu Peak(5355m). The north face of Ak Suu Peak is nearly 2km long and offers the world’s most challenging climbing routes to ambitious mountaineers. The surrounding peaks as Iskander (5120m), Petrogradez (5165m), Admiralteez (5090m), and A.Block (5229m) add a flavor to our journey to Ak Suu Peak. After we get all the mountain views, we trek back to our camp the way we came.

The last day of our trek goes gently along the Ak-Mechet River with a picturesque green gorge back to Uzgurush Village. The same pistachio and walnut orchards start to appear when we get close to the village. Arrive at the village and relax in a traditional homestay.

Breakfast. We drive back to Osh city via Batken region, 7 hours. Arrival in the city and accommodation in your hotel after this adventurous trekking journey.
